CHEK project

CHEK project is a Swedish consortium dedicated to developing a unique Future-Proof Vessel Design Platform that maximizes symbiosis between novel technologies and real operational profiles for long-distance shipping. The initiative analyzes framework conditions including infrastructure and legislation while simulating innovation deployment to support the IMO's net-zero emissions goal by 2050 and Europe's carbon-neutral target under the European Green Deal.

• Innovation: The project creates a replicable design platform applicable to tankers, container ships, general cargo vessels, and ferries covering over 93% of global shipping tonnage.
• Sustainability: Solutions are engineered specifically to achieve real-world decarbonization impacts for the international fleet.
• Markets: Efforts focus on sectors responsible for 85% of global greenhouse gas emissions from shipping.

The consortium aims to ensure proposed vessel designs can be successfully deployed in reality through rigorous foresight exercises.
