Access to Independence

Access to Independence is an American disability-led organization headquartered in south-central Wisconsin that provides resources, services, and advocacy for people of all ages, disabilities, and identities across Columbia, Dane, Dodge, and Green counties. The group operates as one of eight Independent Living Centers within a nationwide network dedicated to empowering individuals to live independently through consumer control and peer support.

• Services: Offers independent living trainings, home accessibility assessments, information referral, peer support, individual advocacy, institutional transition diversion, and post-secondary youth transition services.
• Industries: Serves the disability sector by championing justice and eliminating stigma within a fully equitable and inclusive society.
